In most cases, council approval is not required for attic ladders or attic storage. Approval may be required if skylights or roof windows are added. We can advise based on your local council requirements.
Unfortunately no. Under the National Construction Code and Victorian building regulations, attic storage is classified as a non-habitable space and may only be used for storage.
